The lack of "Continue watching" is an absolute dealbreaker. I will find other options until that returns.
Everything about the update is awful; it's a bad imitation of TikTok, which isn't what anyone wants when using Twitch anyway, and the amateurish solution to most videos being horizontal (because it's not TikTok) is blurring that wastes most of the screen. There's no way to see what the streamers you follow are doing without going to each one individually. You can't watch a video and go do anything else at all. It's a miserable experience in every way. Everything feels much worse, much more difficult, across every metric. I can't imagine anyone thinking this is an improved experience.
I feel sorry for the designers who had to implement this ridiculous, obviously terrible idea given to them by executives who don't understand what the users want and are chasing returns. This is classic capitalist enshittification.
It is all horrible, but "Continue watching" is a must. I am astonished by how terrible this update is. "Grotesque" is the word that comes to mind.

We understand enough to know that these extreme password requirements don't actually make passwords more secure, only more difficult to remember and type. Truly, it feels like a regression to the ideas people had about passwords in the '90s. Genuinely shocking and demonstrably counterproductive.

Everything about the update is awful; they couldn't even mange to use all the space in the main view (which is also much worse, just conceptually), and the amateurish solution is blurring. It is all horrible, but "Continue watching" is a must. I am astonished by how terrible this update is. "Grotesque" is the word that comes to mind.
