It’s been a year since I posted this. I just don’t use Twitch anymore because of this. Occasionally there is a VOD I cannot find on YouTube and I open Twitch and see it’s still as broken as it was 1 year ago. And I just give up on watching altogether.
It’s wild that in the time since this issue started in April 2023, Kick arrived, shipped an AppleTV app, and surpassed the Twitch feature set, all while maintaining a less buggy experience.

Still broken. I stopped watching live and use YouTube for VODs instead.

The stream frequently just turns black on AppleTV app. Cannot see anything. It will resolve itself in a few seconds or minutes usually. But no guarantee. Happens in both VODs and Live. It’s so annoying. Only thing to fix is to pause and unpause continually. I have just stopped watching twitch and catch the VODs on YouTube later.
