I also think the twitch experience would really improve from a feature where we can hide/ignore certain streamers and even entire categories. I know there is currently a “hide recommendation” option from the home page on twitch, but there is no such functionality anywhere else on the site. I almost always navigate directly to my following page, and the recommendations that show up there are not the same as the ones that turn up on my home page, so I have no ability to hide those recommendations. I think viewers should be able to hide/ignore streams and categories from anywhere on twitch, not just from the home page. I’d suggest the following: an option in settings where you can search up categories by name to ignore them, the same “3-dots” hide recommendation functionality on pages other than the home page (for example, on the browsing page and the following overview page), and even an “ignore/hide this channel” on the channel of a stream that we wish to ignore. We should be able to have this functionality with or without a recommendation as well. I think being able to filter down the types of recommendations that we receive as viewers will not only deliver better recommendations and improve the viewer experience, but also likely lead to more viewership hours and therefore more revenue for twitch through ads/subs/turbo.
