During The Cycle: Frontier drops week, I saw a lot of streamers pulling multiple 24 hour streams. But they ended up exhausted and burned out. This is not really healthy for them, and somewhat irresponsible of Twitch.
What I suggest is that Twitch drops should be limited to 12 hours per day, for each creator.
- This will remove the incentive for the streamer to continue for 24 hours. Which is better for their health.
- You will have fewer tired streamers. They will be fresh and upbeat for the next day!
- Smaller channels will get more exposure, because bigger names will not be on for the full 24 hours.
- The streamers will be able to choose when they stream, and when they rest.
- Streamers can of course do a longer stream, if they wish. Just the drops will stop after 12 hours.
If you ask streamers, they may not like the idea of less time doing drops, because the more time they do drops, the more followers they gain.
But if drops time is limited, then the game doing the drops might decide to do more days of drops. So streamers will still get the same amount of time doing drops, just more spread out (and healthier).
Please be a responsible platform, and consider something like this, for the health and energy of your streamers.
