Further to the comments above, I believe it is completely inappropriate for Twitch to allow someone to add individuals as a mod without confirmed consent. The ability to do this can exacerbate parasocial relationship issues, eg "oh but this person I have come across has a connection to me as my mod". Assuming you take the time to remove yourself as a moderator, a notification occurs in chat which can be perceived as "interaction". The individual is not prevented from continuing and can immediately re-add you.

Totally agree. I have been added to, and removed myself from, an unknown person's twitch mod team. It is a shame that this is set up without the requirement for consent on behalf of the person receiving mod permissions. This can (and likely has in some circumstances) be used as a means of harassment or continued contact/connection to an individual. Anyone can re-add you as a mod, even after you de-mod yourself (and a notification appears in the individual's history, so they can see you have removed yourself).
