I literally didn't see the email to opt out of this, and I absolutely hate this new cheering system

It lacks any sort of personality that cheering with Bits had, it's way too restrictive, it doesn't have alerts, hype trains are now basically discouraged, and it's just genuinely poorly implemented

Please end this test or get this off my channel, it is awful.

    Hey all,

Thank you for the patience with us on this. This has been one of the most popular ideas on UserVoice and we definitely heard your feedback.

Today we launched /announcement for mods and streamers. Announcements can be used in chat to highlight a message and are available in 4 different colors along with the channel accent color. Because this is only part of the ask of this idea we are setting this idea to partial release so the community can continue to leave feedback on this.

Marginalized creators harassed on a daily basis: *crickets*

    Usernames can include slurs: *crickets*

Marginalized groups ask for more tags to find each other easily: *crickets*

1 twelve-year-old gets scammed by a /me command: "REMOVE ALL COLOR FROM /ME FOR EVERYONE SO THIS CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN"

Don't even start with "the safety of our community remains our top priority."

It seriously blows my mind that Twitch decided removing color from /me commands would be better for curbing abuse then, I dunno, actually doing something to those abusing it?

Like seriously, how many Twitch developers does it take to realize you can just add "/me donates" to AutoMod's catch list to literally make this not an issue whatsoever without ruining chat for literally everyone else? 🙄
