using generated ai images is absolutely unacceptable, especially if you're trying to promote human artists because at that point it's just offensive. twitch has more than enough budget to hire an actual artist to create the category images, so using ai just makes twitch look cheap and unprofessional. if twitch (or any company) can't be bothered to put the effort into their promotion, why should I be bothered to engage with them? you're going to lose a lot of potential viewers like this. I'd much rather you use the old images that had actual charm and heart to them than this. genuinely, whose big idea was this???

Hey guys! We really appreciate the feedback that has been brought forth in this thread and just wanted to update you a little bit on what is going on.
This change was originally made to guard against raid bot attacks. While smaller raids are currently viewable in activity feed in the dashboard, we are working on a solution that treats raids equally while guarding against abuse tactics.

this literally happened to me. I sent a raid of about 3-4 people to someone else and it didn't show up, and both I and the streamer were very confused. I was also a little upset that it "glitched", but now I'm more upset that this was changed on purpose! how are small streamers like myself supposed to help & be helped by other small streamers??? SO not user friendly...

AI should not be implemented at all for anything, but if we are gonna be forced into this then it must be set to off by default. If for some reason someone does opt in, then they should be fairly compensated for all the uses of their content. This update is going to cause so many legal issues... not to mention how many streamers and viewers will leave in droves. I'm seriously considering switching platforms if this goes through, I'm sick of AI being shoved into everything and ruining the environment for pointless rubbish.
