We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

With great power comes great responsibility! It's too risky, while it may help in some cases, it's way too risky and there is no real safe way of doing this. That power should stay with Admins, Global Moderators, and staff members ONLY! Because let's say you say something that a streamer doesn't like. Let's say you simply make a comment that's completely harmless, but the streamer doesn't like it and then BOOM your IP banned. That's not something that should happen. Let the people that Twitch trusts with their lives handle that one
I don't want this to happen at ALL. I follow a LOT of people, and I do so for a reason because even though I may not watch all of them, I still want to be able to show them my support. And let's say after a year I see this person I have been following is live and I'm like "Hey, I haven't seen this person in awhiel, I should check up on them see how they're doing" If Twitch automatically unfollows that channel, that can't happen and it can cause issues. So no, I don't want this to happen. I want the people I follow to stay followed. I will stick with manually unfollowing them if I see it necessary, but I don't want a robot controlling the people I follow.
