A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

And as an afterthough, i'm not watching anymore. There are a lot of ads coming on now so its like waiting for your ears to be destroyed and very annoying. Cant watch while doing anything else. need more people on the team to resolve this, i like watching streams

Seen some progress, but recently seems like the volume is bouncing up again. too loud, I have to mute it if Im playing another game, but even with it MUTED, the commercial's volume comes on and its very loud. Should penalize advertisers if they set their volume so loud, ridiculous, this isn't a television set with people sitting around eating popcorn waiting for jonny carson to come on.

In the past week 10/24/22, the ads have been nice in terms of volume level. Seems like when live, it works good and on replays (safari) it mutes, but at least the ad plays. Before it would freeze and you would have to reload and end up just not watching because if you cant get past the ad, you can't watch. But just wanted to say I see improvement. Anyone else?

It seems like its okay for the first 5 seconds-ish and then something happens and it goes into overdrive and is twice as loud as the content. Like the delay between the start of the ad and it maximizing to fill the screen. When it just starts its the same volume as the stream but then it doubles it. Hope feedback helps. TY Mouse

This is a HUGE problem. Ads blowing my ears out on my headset. And usually twitch is a passive channel to watch while your playing a game or something else so you have to stop that, switch to the Twitch channel, mess with the volume and then when the ads are gone, the person you tuned in to see is TOO QUIET. So it is in fact ruining two experiences.

This should be top priority for Twitch, its an ongoing issue and when one of those ads comes on and blows my eardrums out (because i use headset) I really get a bad feeling for the advertiser. and then its not just once, the same ad will keep coming on driving that sentiment over and over again. Not doing a good service for the advertiser, kind of anti-advertising.

Seems like Twitch doesn't care about this at all. very disappointing....
