Nudity shouldn't be that big a deal in 2021, humans have bodies just like every other creature on this planet. Twitter has allowed nudity & even sex for years at this point & Instagram allows some partial nudity. Any advertiser who would break ties with Twitch over a naked body is not worth Twitch's time, money & massive audience. Some people say this wouldn't be "fair" because female streamers would make more money then their male counterparts, I feel this is a lackluster argument. The audience some female streamers have are already made up of different folks then the people who watch Warzone streamers for example. It's like saying K Dramas take away money from Michael Bay movies. Also the top earners on Twitch are male, just look at the top 20 on TwitchTracker. Also the people who tend to have these negative sentiments/arguments towards nudity tend to come from online communities with not the best views of women. As for users under 18, Twitch can add strict age verification rules, All Korean streaming sites already do this. At the end of the day though, it's up to parents because even with the strictest rules on Twitch, kids can still access Google, Bing & Yandex & view socially inappropriate sites & content for their age if parents don't step in. Also it's worth pointing out that nudity & sex are different things, so the argument that nude = 18+ is more of a cultural one & not necessarily true. I think if Twitch were to allow nudity, it would be a bold progressive move in the right direction towards more inclusivity & social acceptance. It would also help normalize the human body, which has been a problem in America in particular for quite some time.
Think Twitch is well overdue for a Twitch After Dark Adult Content Category already.
