Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. “We are experimenting with new possibilities.” Sorry, but you know exactly how and what you can do to avoid constantly interrupting your viewers just to satisfy your boundless greed! Stop with this stupid drivel! As far as I'm concerned, you can change whatever you want, but the ad blocker is staying! You have your incessant exaggeration with advertising to thank for that.

What I’m also wondering is: who can guarantee that my data isn’t being used secretly after all, and that this ‘off’ function is merely for show? ‘Once a liar, always a liar’, and anyone who goes behind people’s backs to pull off such underhand tricks without the user’s consent shouldn’t be surprised if they’re called a lying b*st*rd. That’s exactly what I think of Twitch these days!

1. It is absolutely outrageous that users are not informed that their data is being used! I’ve gone through all my emails and haven’t found a single mention of this misuse!
2. The fact that this feature is switched on as a matter of course without informing the user is an absolute no-go!
3. Not only are the adverts placed by Twitch becoming increasingly excessive and intrusive, but now our data is also being misused without asking to feed this bloody AI rubbish! I could throw up!Twitch is increasingly becoming a rip-off, dishonest, fraudulent site. I’ll make sure that this is investigated and stopped by the law, at least in Switzerland. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

it's been clear to me for a long time that these ads will be the final straw for twitch. i refuse to take even one step away from adblocker and Bravebrowser as long as twitch bombards me with ads at this intensity. i have even stopped using twitch as a viewer and am getting closer and closer to the decision to delete my account and look for alternatives. this advertising is just disgusting. in my opinion, it's cheating to pretend that users are protected from this invasive advertising by a subscription and then to point out somewhere in the corner that twitch has the audacity to place ads. THAT IS FRAUD! I'm not even going to test Twitch Turbo, I'm already sick to my stomach. suggestion? find another platform. because that's the only way these scammers will realize that they're on the wrong track.

Years later... absolutely NOTHING has changed! The ad blocker has actually become even more effective; I don’t even notice when an advert starts! What a treat. Hey Twitch, are you capable of learning? Apparently not. Ad blockers, on the other hand, certainly are. Twitch’s response to this thread is just a load of hollow, empty blah blah blah... Disgusting
