    That's not even only for trans or not binary people. Every time I'm talking to a new person, I have to use they/them until I figure out from what they say which pronouns they would like.
    And let's be honest, greeting someone by "Hello, welcome! Are you a guy or a girl?", it's just weird.
    "Hello, welcome! Which pronouns you want us to use for you?" is slightly better, but obviously it's difficult to remember this for every new user. And what about the people in the chat that were not there when that person came?
