Anyone who thinks this is anyway a good idea needs to re-evaluate their behavior that is causing them to get banned. if you get banned permanently chances are you're doing something to deserve it. If you haven't done anything to deserve it do you really want to be in a community that allows their mods to erroneously ban anyone for no reason?

On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.

While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.

Experiments help us test new ideas in real time, and decide what to build next. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!

Nothing wrong with an additional feature. Sure not for every community but not every feature is going to be. Now if only this thinking could be applied to things like /me! Wasn't for every community but instead it was removed and now your highest upvoted chat suggestion is to bring it back. It's okay to admit a mistake was made and bring it back ya know? :)

    Hey all,

Thank you for the patience with us on this. This has been one of the most popular ideas on UserVoice and we definitely heard your feedback.

Today we launched /announcement for mods and streamers. Announcements can be used in chat to highlight a message and are available in 4 different colors along with the channel accent color. Because this is only part of the ask of this idea we are setting this idea to partial release so the community can continue to leave feedback on this.

You'd think highest upvoted chat suggestion of all time we'd hear a bit more about a fix, compromise, anything? Considering the level of pushback this has got. I've not seen a single person thankful for this change. However 12 days later we still stare at the same cookie cutter response. Like all things that get changed the community doesn't like twitch will simply ignore it until we simply deal with it. Wish I had that option in my workplace.

Also removing the comments that call twitch out for making a change and claiming that it was a requested feature when there is zero proof of that anywhere really doesn't speak highly of "uservoice" now does it?

Punish all for the actions of a few is what the response translates to. If someone is abusing /me and it bothers the streamer they can time them out/ ban them, a mod can time them out/ ban them, any of the above can add /me to automod terms. This is a blatantly lazy way to handle a problem that has countless other solutions. If you honestly believe that /me deserved any attention before the countless other things that could be implemented that tons of people suggested I urge you to try listening to the community rather than just telling us deal with it.

Seems odd that this was SUCH a requested feature it had to be implemented immediately, but nobody recalls it ever having been highly suggested or voted on. Now reversing it is the second most upvoted chat suggestion of all time?

From the time you notified everyone on twitter it would be italics going forward, it took the wonderful devs at FFZ exactly 27 minutes to not only make italics, or colored messages an option, but even added the option to have colored italics for those who wanted to be able to have the different font and the old color style messages. 27 minutes it took someone to use their head and consider making all users happy.
