Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Gave input on this a while ago.
On mobile, Twitch implemented the idea that I gave, though it can still be better (further council was given for that as well; creating an end-user toggle between advert audio & stream audio).

Desktop/Browser changes following closely in similarity would be a great convenience for moderators and managers.
