Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. If this gets implemented, I cannot help but feel my whole extended stream team community is going to immediately fracture. There are going to be the streamers, none of us who will want to use this platform anymore, much less touch it with a 100ft pole, but we all know there will be community members who won't follow us to a new site.
The idea of having to make a change of this magnitude for a couple of my larger friends who have made this their career and don't have another job is ... unthinkable. And yet, I think even they are going to back away from Twitch if you do this.
I don't want to have to find an alternative to Twitch. YouTube doesn't see streaming as any kind of profitable resource, and its impossible to find streams on YouTube. And I don't know of any other site that does what Twitch does. But if you do this? I'm out. As I bet the majority of your content creators are going to be.
