Moderators play an important role in keeping chat safe, welcoming, and free of spam. However, when ads play, moderators can miss important moments in chat, making it harder to respond quickly to spam, harassment, or viewers who need help.

Not every moderator can afford to subscribe to every channel they volunteer for, especially if they moderate multiple communities. Moderating is already something they do to support streamers without expecting anything in return.

An ad-free experience could be limited to moderators while they’re actively moderating, or be an optional perk that streamers can enable for their mod team. This would help moderators stay focused on chat without interrupting Twitch’s overall advertising model.

I believe this would improve moderation across the platform, benefit streamers, and create a better experience for viewers as well.
