This actually highlights a bigger issue with platform restrictions and user interaction limits on smart TVs. When basic controls like keyboard/remote inputs aren’t supported properly, even well-built apps hit a dead end despite having a solid backend.
I ran into something similar while working on an interactive web-based project where user input and real-time responses were critical. Even small limitations in interaction flow can completely break the experience, especially on non-standard devices like TVs.
It’s interesting how much smoother things get when everything is designed with responsive interaction in mind, something I explored here: https://playhitthebutton.co.uk/
I completely get this frustration. There is nothing more annoying than finally sitting down to relax, only to have your attention hijacked before the content even starts. It is the same feeling when you are trying to do something quick online, like checking your NOL card balance before catching the Metro, and suddenly you are forced through unnecessary interruptions. Sometimes people just want to get to the information they came for and move on: https://checknolbalance.ae/
