mine is consistently off by 1 - has anybody seen any advisement about this yet?
big agree. i'd like for viewers to be able to easily type in the name of an emote, especially on mobile, and it feels less-than-quick with the random number in there. plus, on a possibly less important note, i'm certain i'm not alone when i say i put a lot of work into streamlining my channel's aesthetic, and weirdly, the prefix throws it off & feels less professional.
i agree with the previous comments asking to have it be like the username change - give it a character limit & type in options until we find one that isn't taken. i'd also be among those to volunteer to pay to change it pre-partner. with all the usernames out there, we are basically forced to create weird names and this forces an even weirder auto-generated prefix on us! if i'd known twitch was going to make the prefix for me with no option to edit, i would have changed my username first. it just seems unnecessarily gatekeep-y to have it be a partner benefit, because how many affiliates never see partner, you know?
it's 2024, and this isn't resolved. twitch are you there????
