Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

These emotes aren't at all sexual. They are fun and silly and something communities enjoy using to engage. There's nothing sexual going on and everything is PG. I think that this is something fun communities enjoy and that since they cause no harm or break TOS in any way, should be allowed.

Thor, aka Pirate Software, has made an incredible impact on not only the twitch community but much of the gaming community as a whole. This monumentos achievement of breaking the world record 2 times within days should be celebrated! A global emote would show how twitch recognizes the amazing positivity that has come from someone who not only works hard but is humble and sincere. Such an occasion should be celebrated and pillars should be recognized for the good they've done!

I think this is a great compromise. Discovering new channels is difficult when you have to sit through ads just to find out of you care about what's being shown at all. With discover-ability being as bad as it is I think forced pre rolls for first time viewers only makes things worse. This makes viewers that, if they don't have a go to streamer streaming, may just not watch twitch streams.If someone is familiar with the content however, they'll sit through the ada in their next time around.
