I already replied to this thread, but it bears repeating.
The fact that the userbase is begging to keep Moments isn't a common situation. This is a feature that, clearly, there is demand to keep.

    There's a streamer I've watched on a semi-frequent basis, for around 9 years.

Since this streamer implemented Moments, I have been significantly more engaged, both with their content, and with their community.

Moments really do feel like a natural evolution of Clips. Used properly, it's a great way for streamers to keep their viewerbase engaged, excited to level up their badge, and generally evoke this feeling of 'I WAS HERE'.

A few months ago, I couldn't imagine a stream keeping me on the edge of my seat, with nearly my full attention, but, when used properly, Moments can get that out of a viewer.

It's a total waste. I don't think I've ever heard someone say anything negative about Moments, aside from maybe 'wow, I wish Twitch would roll this out to me'.

Moments were a feature that I'm gonna miss. Not every streamer is going to use them effectively, but the streamers I followed that made a point to use them, like OP, had me significantly more engaged with Twitch than I usually am.

There's something very fun, to being able to point to something, and say 'I was here!' And Moments give the streamer power to engage audiences and communities by being able to invoke that feeling.

And for streamers that made use of the feature regularly, it made tuning in a lot more fun, the idea of seeing something cool, and being able to get excited for the prospect of being 'there' for something, being able to add another badge to your sash.

Not every streamer is going to make effective use of it, sure. But the same could be said of Super Chats, Bits, ad breaks, channel points, predicitions-- so should we remove all those things, too?

I think it's a mistake to get rid of Moments.
