I am a streamer from Taiwan and at the same time a viewer.
Twitch Chat auto-ban has recently incorporated hundreds of words, some words have certain uses in certain situations which is a part of chat interaction, it isn’t intended to be hateful or discriminatory, more so some are banned simply by declaring Taiwan sovereignty or mentioning the current state of Chinese politics.
As a democratic country, users in Taiwan shouldn’t be subjected to speech censorship, this not only causes the unique live-streaming culture to completely disappear from Twitch, but it is also suspected of suppressing Taiwan’s sovereignty and it reduces users' willingness to continue supporting Twitch.
I ask Twitch to immediately revise the audit content of the auto-ban bot and return the power and choice of chat management back to the streamers.
