    I agree with this, chants have always been a great addition for our community and encourage many lurkers and first time chatters to participate in the chat more frequently

    On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.

    While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.

    Experiments help us test new ideas in real time, and decide what to build next. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!

    I believe this is a bad decision as our community loves the chant feature, and I have noticed first hand that it brings out many lurkers and encourages many new first time chatters to participate. At least make it an opt-in feature rather than just removing it entirely, as I completely disagree with the assumption that it reduces viewership
