I get a lot of Spanish, but I'm not even sure which type of Spanish, is it from Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay there are so many countries in which Spanish is spoken...
Anyways, I'm in London, only speak and understand English (sorry) and I have never understood any of the adverts ever played here on Twitch. Currently, I just mute the advert(s) while I browse away from the tab for a short period.
I have allowed and configured as many of the advert preferences/settings that I know of, by trying my best to provide information on what adverts and topics that I'm interested in, with the hope that I get adverts I can understand and adverts on products & services that I'm actually interested in.
We should at least be able to select the location (or locations) that we want to hear adverts from. For me, London based advertisement, please.
Maybe some people would like adverts based in Canada but in English? So location and language (locale) based options would be nice to see. Even to select more than one location perhaps? If a selection has not been made by the user, then this auto-detect location/language is fine as a fallback, but it should have never been the primary way this advertisement selection operates.
Adding to my previous comment below, I was thinking this is actually a much bigger problem and goes way way beyond Twitch. There are many online services which all share the same issues and show adverts that have little to no relevance to the user watching them.
For users who consume a lot of online material, I can understand why many would want to stop sharing advertisement preferences and block as much information as possible using ad-blockers, or even employ other methods to spoof their details.
