An error occurred while saving the comment Kohlrak commentedIn the meantime, i have a bot with no dependencies that can use ECMA script regex.
An error occurred while saving the comment Kohlrak commentedAFAIK, there is no wildcard. I could be wrong, though, but i've made a whole new bot to address this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Kohlrak commentedWhat kills me is that i know what most of these words are banned for, and, presumably, "night" in english would land on this list, too, which is why i don't use automod. If you want, i have a bot that uses REGEX to replace automod, but it's still in beta testing.

An error occurred while saving the comment Kohlrak commentedI have a bot that can handle this. I've been using it to block our favorite "Wanna be famous" spam. It can target messages and delete them rather than clearing the chat of all a particular user's message, too, incase of a false positive and keeps a log.
Their bot interface is IRC and it's plaintext and easy to use.
In order to prevent false positives or to allow someone to stop supporting a channel that over censors, the idea of not informing a user, i would consider, a rights violation. Shadow banning and shadow blocking is one of the most horrid trends we've seen lately.
As an alternative, proper REGEX keys would solve this quickly. I've been testing it with a bot of mine, and so far no false positives, and it accounts for typing something a different way.
