I used to have this in my chatbot so that I could automate the posting of X streamer's "Raid message" 3 times into the channel before automatically triggering the raid, all within 1 command that is used by either the caster or a mod. I can no longer do this without having to implement the handling of tokens for accounts that ARENT my bot's account. Big Issue there, when we should just be able to use moderator tokens.

As mentioned earlier today on the TwitchDev Standard Output broadcast, we are moving this suggestion to "planned." We appreciate everyone's patience with this one. Although it sounds simple and we see the value, there were a number of underlying complexities to consider before we had confidence in a path forward and providing a response. We will provide another update when the endpoint is available for testing.

Really hope this gets published soon as its super annoying to require a broadcaster token for every channel, to check whether the bot might be a moderator or not, and would be such a hassle to do all this to then have to get a negative result in most channels. Would be so much easier to just have the list of channels that my bot mods for, ready to go, to check against before performing mod-only actions.

ecressey asked for a use-case:
I, personally, would like to use this to fetch a list of active streams that are using a specific tag related to a particular group/community of streamers, so that we can display the list on said community's website.
The streams from this list will be displayed, only by current "LIVE" thumbnail and when clicked they WILL redirect to the official Twitch url for x channel(s). No embeds will be used.

Correction: "Search Streams", not "Get Streams"
Also i know its been reformed to the "Search Channels" endpoint, but the point still stands.

Been no update on this since the status change in April 2021. What's going on with this? Any idea?

Having this ability back would be greatly appreciated for multiple Applications that make heavy use of this feature.

Agreed that these need to be added to the api, for 3rd party chat apps such as Chatty or even Streamlabs Chatbot's inbuilt chat.
Also, @V1nc3nt67
all IRC commands are being deprecated, as far as i know. The possibility of having these added to IRC are little to none.

This is very much needed. I personally want to setup certain commands on my bot that can modify "preset" title/game/tags based on the game im playing/project im working on.
