Please don't join the long list of companies i am deeply disappointed in and removing from my life. AI is horrible for the environment, the bills for data center upkeep/utilities is being passed on to much of the nearby working class, making their cost of living even higher. Generative AI is constantly being trained on creators art/music etc. without their consent across so many platforms. Why would i want an AI scrape my streams to make clips? That is a thing my community members do so we can have special memories together. I don't want that replaced with tools or bots of any kind. You did also just destroy people's archives of highlights because it was "too expensive." So why are you trying to make a tool that will just generate heaps of junk clips? It's such a waste of energy, and an even bigger waste of your server resources. Your users are the only way you have a platform, so why are you trying to replace their interactions?

There are so many negatives to genAI.
Content theft, copyright infringement, the effect on the environment, the effect on the health and quality of life near data centers, surging electric and water bills, the endless guzzling of the resources we need to survive, people losing jobs to be replaced by ai bots that constantly hallucinate and get stuff wrong, people getting ai psychosis, the mental atrophy of people relegating everything to ai, the gross amount on non-consensual and straight up illegal nsfw content that gets generated. The list is honestly so long.
There is zero benefit to anyone by adding ai to the platform. I've stopped giving money to so many companies and deleted multiple accounts because they forced ai into their systems. Please let us opt out of using it/having it train on our channels. It really doesn't sit morally or ethically with me. So if it's forced, i'm going to have to leave Twitch.
