It would serve the interests of major content creator channels if Twitch added an option to move or hide the stories shelf for regular users. Currently, unfollowing content creators who use the stories feature is the only way to remove the unwanted stories shelf from the for you tab (and other places where it may automatically consume space). I have already unfollowed multiple channels just this morning for specifically this purpose, and fully intend to continue unfollowing content creators to this end. I am not the only user who is doing this, and it surely must be starting to have an impact on the follower count of the largest channels here on Twitch; anybody who posts a story, regardless of content or tone, winds up seeing their follower count take a nosedive over the next several days. Your new feature, due to aggressively poor implementation, is objectively harmful to your platform. This can very easily be mitigated by just giving us the option to hide the ridiculous thing and move on.
