As the mobile app is currently configured, it feels very anti-user. The current home page force playing a random stream just incentives me to unfollow people I don't watch as often so they do not show up instantly when I open my app. I am not a fan of the following system being embedded in the autoplay feed. It no longer let's me sort my follow list by my preferred filters, and I no longer can see thumbnails to get an idea of where a streamer is in a game. Lately, my feed has included a lot of Eldin Ring, a game I am trying to avoid because of spoilers, and I do not like having that thrust upon me. Also, when watching a stream, now when I try to back out to see if there's another stream I want to watch, before it would give me a picture in picture version of the stream I was watching, so I can still listen and watch while I'm browsing. Now it instantly ends what I'm watching to show me the terrible auto feed that I'm not interested in. In order to get some semblance of the old app, I have to swap to clips and pause it, so that it doesn't waste my data, and then I have to go to my following list, find someone I may want to watch and TYPE THEIR NAME INTO THE SEARCH to see a thumbnail. Then I have to repeat that process until I find something I watch. Why is it so hard to do a function that used to be the home page? It's the only way I can still get my picture in picture while searching for other stream, and I'm forced to rely on my search history or memory to find the people I want to watch.

The way I see to remedy the current problems of the app, is to simply bring back the following page as the default, with all the sorting options and thumbnails, and return feed to a separate tab. That way, the work that was put into the feed option is not wasted, and the small subset of the audience you're trying to go after can still use the feature, without impeding the rest of your audience and forcing them to find work arounds to avoid a feature we did not ask for.

Tl;dr: The current implementation is anti-user and incentives unfollowing streamers which hurts overall retention and discoverability, and can be easily fixed by returning the home page to a following list with thumbnails, and having feed be a 2nd OPTIONAL tab for the small subset of users that actually want to use it.

Moments are such a cool feature, and as a viewer, I really like having a moments badge for the different "I was there" moments. There's been plenty of streamers I've watched that have had so many good moments but have not had access to the beta, and they have even reached out and asked for access and were denied by twitch support. This has been a sought out feature for many creators, and it's a shame to see such an amazing feature get axed before it even got to be used by the creators that would benefit most from it. Please do not remove this feature, and expand it so partners and affiliates can use it, as the very limited pool has kept the feature from really shining in the communities that could benefit from it most.
