I myself as a creator, and my viewers DON'T like this experiment. I wish I would have seen the option to opt out before the change was made. This forces my viewers to go on mobile, spend more money just to cheer to be able to get the alert, and utilize TTS. It seems like this is just a way for twitch to take more money from content creators. Like others have said bits add up, and with the direct purchasing twitch is able to keep even more of the contributions.
Also the fact that we can't opt out if we don't like it is bizarre. Please end the experiment, so we can go back to having fun with our communities.
