We would definitely like to give Mods a way to communicate with each other more easily, and are starting to explore implementation options.

From the POV of a Moderator, This would be incredibly helpful, as more and more users are using third party apps that state when a user has been banned or timed out, the restrict chat feature has become incredibly helpful to discreetly remove someone from chat. Not being able to see their restricted messages going forward is difficult to make required decisions in the future.

As a Moderator, We have had this issue happen (and reported) to us twice now. Unsure of how many first time chatters, or folks that are not connected to the community have had it happen to them as well.
