    On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.

    While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.

    Instead of removing this feature completely which is just Twitch taking the easy option. Do some work for your creators, allow it as a feature that the content creator can choose to have. It seems that you are only focusing on the "negative" impacts. Others have had great fun with this feature, but allow content creators the choice!
