The thing that genuinely baffles me about anyone against this - are they saying they're ok with being called a gender that they're not? Like, even if you ascribe to "biological sex ends at the high school level of differentation" (aka xx and xy only, which science and biology both agree is not true), you'd be ok being called what you're not? And/or you're ok with correcting multiple hundreds of people if they happen to guess wrong? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the answer is actually no, and you're pushing against this solely because you don't feel the need to respect certain people.
