We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

I highly recommend consideration of this feature. It's too easy (and I just experienced it 5 minutes ago), where a single troll uses a series of (obviously scripted) accounts to non-stop spam a stream. Account bans were completely un-helpful.

If some sort of command like /ipban was exposed, that did NOT expose the actual IP to the mod/streamer, it would allow a per-stream safe ip-ban capability.

Then you could either leave it to the stream to re-allow, or implement an automatic time-out of the ban, or both.
