  2. I'd love to see a public long-term roadmap for changes and improvements coming to Twitch Dev items.

Reason being, I want to know what's coming, especially in terms of deprecation, so I can plan my time in advance. I would hate to spend so much time on new features using current services just for them to be removed later on.

  3. Some major bots have Partner/Verified status.

It would be great to have a documented path for other developers to submit their bots for Partner/Verified badges.

  4. In the streamer dashboard there's a section for "Streaming Tools" which lists applications in various different categories.

Selfishly I'd love to get the app I'm working on listed here. I'm sure other tool developers would too.

Having some sort of application / review process to get your tool listed here would (hopefully) be a huge benefit to getting new users.

If this process already exists, I haven't found it.

  5. Right now, if an API call fails, we can only rely on the HTTPS status to know what could have gone wrong.
While on few endpoints a 400 status can be caused by only one kind of error, for most endpoints such status can be caused by multiple kind of errors.

For example, the reward creation endpoint ( https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference/#create-custom-rewards ) thorws a 400 if any input is wrong. There are 11 cases listed.
The only detail we have is an english text explaining what went wrong which we cannot do much with but display it as is to the user.

  8. Let me get eventsub moderator add/remove events for my bot. Right now the current add/remove is by broadcaster, so I need thousands of eventsub subscriptions.

Allowing me to sub with a moderator ID instead would reduce thousands of subscriptions to two. :)

  9. Links to #id on all headers, most if not all headers in the docs have ids and can be anchored, but would be nice to have it integrated

  10. Would request more extensive, step-by-step Video instructions on how to make an extension. I lost a bunch of weeks trying to walk through the docs and gave up.

  12. I'd love to have the ability to request whisper rate limit increases for Twitch whispers, with approved use cases.

The current limit makes sense for smaller bots, but is too restrictive for larger bots and certain use cases. The ability to even request a rate limit increase would be great.

  14. Currently the API tutorials are between the general API explanation and it keeps pushing the reference lower and can create confusion to a first time visitor as they're titled like those might be the only endpoints

  16. Switching clips without having to reload the iframe/events/playback controls would be nice :)

the interactive embed just supports live streams and VODs currently

3 year old post with no response: https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/40747189-interactive-frames-for-clips-and-improved-embedded

  17. There are a couple page, https://dev.twitch.tv/gamedevelopers/ and the Developer Playbook, https://dev.twitch.tv/gamedevelopers/development/ which are very outdated. It includes references to products that simply no longer exist, other products that have changed, data from 5 years ago, broken embeds due to missing clips, and there's missing information such as the Game Engine Plugin.

Over the past year I've seen 3 different game developers (One working on a AAA title, the other two were individual indie developers) whose first investigations into Twitch as a Game Developer lead them to that playbook and having a negative opinion of Twitch's situation with Game Developers. This…

  18. In TwitchDev streams, folks often link to various defects reported at https://github.com/twitchdev/issues/ that are blocking progress for their third-party application. It would be nice to have a regular section of the TwitchDev broadcast that revisits each of the issues that were mentioned in the previous stream & provides a status update
