Please do not remove the ability to cheer anonymously Today (Oct 24, 2022) Anon cheering seems to have been disabled for some reason. Please do not remove the ability to cheer Anonymously.
Some of us like to donate bits and don't want to be "recognized" for it. Removing the ability to cheer anonymously will just make us not cheer at all.
If this was somehow something streamers were asking for, then make it a per-stream setting a streamer can toggle (but default ON).

While we understand some viewers prefer not being recognized for Cheering, we made this change to ensure a safer experience for those who were negatively impacted.
We’ve also heard your concerns on what this means for the future of Bits. This deprecation is not related to any plans to limit Cheering with Bits on Twitch, and is solely focused on providing a safer experience for our community.

Keep Bits, do not replace with Super Cheer Bits are the MOST beneficial form of income for streamers on Twitch. The donor pays the twitch fee when purchasing the bits, so the streamer gets the full amount, which is what the donor expects. If someone donates 100 bits the streamer gets $1.00. With Super Cheer if someone donates $1.00 the fee is coming out of that amount and the streamer only gets $0.76. If Twitch is looking to replace bits with Super Cheer, that is only going to hurt streamers livelihoods and the relationship between streamers and Twitch. We want to be able to stream on Twitch knowing…

Unlock a special Cheermote on a streamer's birthday that gives extra bits as a gift (Birthday Bits) A Cheermote that is only unlocked on a streamer's birthday that gives extra bits on top of a cheer (10-25% more). It would incentivize people to purchase more bits for a streamer's birthday and give the streamer a nice birthday gift!

Opt out of Cheering Experiement I did not want to be part of the Twitch Cheering Experiment. I am a small streamer and rely heavily on my stream alerts gimmicks to fund raise. The Cheering Experiment has massively reduced my income and the platform takes a larger cut and it doesn't even do anything cool when someone donates.
Twitch sent a stealthy email on the 20th and only gave us til the 24th to opt out but I only found out yesterday. I can safely say I don't want to be part of the experiment and would like to opt out immediately. There should be…

Bits cheer to earn Points (like Loyality Points on Streamlabs) With Subs, Subgifts and Donates it is possible to farm points on different platforms (Stream Elements, Streamlabs etc.). The only thing whats missing are the transfer of bits to points. ( example: some one cheers 1,000 bits and earn 1,000 points in the ANKH bot; currently you can farm points with subs and donates). The policies of twitch of 2018 denied this kind of use. Its time to end this and give us the points for bit cheers :)

Make cheermotes unavailable for blocked users Currently, cheermotes are available even for blocked users who unlocked the emote before they got blocked.
This, however, also allows for harrassment outside of the channel of the stream who blocked them. They can go to channels of streamers that the streamer is acquainted or friends with, and continue to harass simply by intentionally using their cheermotes.
I don't think this is something a streamer should have to deal with, and therefore I think that while a user is blocked by a streamer, they should also not be able to use the cheermotes, just like they're not able to subscribe…

[Experiment] Making Cheering Easier For a limited time, within a select number of channels, we’re testing a different way to Cheer through direct purchase Cheering.
Direct purchase Cheering allows you to unlock a fun community benefit through monetary payment, rather than through Bits. This experiment is only available to select creators and you must be located in the U.S. to participate. If you have any further questions please refer to our help article (https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/cheering-experiment-2022?language=en_US)
We look forward to hearing your feedback on this!16 votes -
[Test] Cheering Experience Updates As a part of our efforts to continually improve our products and creators and viewers build communities together, we are testing several possible updates to the Cheering experience. As a part of this effort, we are testing one of three prototype Cheering updates to a small number of hand-selected channels in order to observe how communities respond and interact with the feature. These three updates are:
- Cheer with Screenshot: viewers can add a creator-selected image to their Cheer to increase the expressiveness of their Cheer in chat.
- Cheer Message Size: viewers can choose how large their Cheer message will appear…

Add setting to allow no longer showing up on the bits leaderboard without having to cheer anonymously Would be nice if there was a setting akin to the setting for sub gifting to no longer show up on the leaderboard. Would probably not be necessary to take away the cheer badges (since you can just choose what badge you want to use).
I know a lot of streamers prefer knowing where love and support came from so they have a slight dislike towards anonymous bits/gifts. But I personally prefer not showing up on the leaderboards when it comes to cheering bits/gifting subs, so I love the setting where you can hide from them for subs, would just…

have cooldowns for cheering to avoid spam In most channels that have cheering, I sometimes see people spamming with only 1 bit. I find it pretty annoying, and I'm sure people do as well, especially when the chat is in sub mode.

Add custom cheermotes for affiliates Partner have the possibility to add a cheer emote which users can use to cheer. It would be great if that would also be possible for affiliates. Like this viewers can donate bits more personal to the channel as with the default ones.
So partners have still a difference to affiliates at this point they could get i.e. a second or maybe also third custom cheermote slot.7 votes -
Minimum Requirements for First-Time Bit Donations in Channels I would like to suggest the implementation of minimum requirements for first-time bit donations in a channel. Currently, there is an issue where newly created accounts can use "fake bits" purchased with stolen credit cards or bins. This situation negatively affects both streamers and the community at large. Therefore, I propose the introduction of an additional security measure to prevent these fraudulent transactions.
My proposal consists of establishing minimum requirements for first-time bit donations in a channel, similar to the existing requirements for first-time chatting. These requirements could include:
Email and Phone Verification: Similar to the verification required for first-time…

Twitch Alert Bit Interactivity I see a bunch of people use third-party sound alert software, where they cheer bits to make a sound on stream (blerp or Sound Alerts, for example). The main issue with those is that they take a portion of the bits from the streamer (for maintenance/keeping the software running). I want to have the Interactivity feature that is currently on Resubs/subs to also be put on bits.
As a suggestion for the UI, the menu itself could pop up when they hit 'enter' on whatever range of bits the streamer decides is the 'have your own sound,' and the viewer…
