Don't end the stream when you switch games
When you want to change a game with the twitch app or restart it the stream automatically ends and you have to restart. This is a problem for when your game freezes especially because you have to restart and you will lose your viewers

Add a feature to allow us to switch games more easily

Sometimes yes, all the time no. I've had times where I'm streaming and the stream itself crashes. I've been online too so it's not a connection issue with that. It's not an online streaming problem either because it doesn't happen all the time. Ruling those out I'd say it's more of a Twitch issue.

It has been many months, to not say years this was raised to fix or find a solution. Still waiting and hoping for Twitch to implement a feature where you can pause the stream, change the game and resume the stream without disconnecting the stream automatically.
Some of us want to play different games during the stream and having to end and restart the stream every single time we want to play a different game is just poor, doesn't look nor feels great. Most specially for those of us who don't have a large following or viewers, and might lose the current viewers for just simply wanting to play a different game.

On console, if the game crashes, freezes, randomly stops, the stream ends. You then have to restart it. Those of us that are poor and stream with minimal equipment don't have a "technical difficulties" screen or grace period to restart the game. Please integrate that for people that don't use a whole setup to stream.

This definitely will cause you to lose viewers and I hope it’s fixed soon

Think this maybe an issue with the consoles rather than twitch itself, but it would be very useful

I am a variety streamer and I like to play multiple games in one day. From Apex Legends, to Brawlhalla, to Overwatch, to Bloodborne... it seems to me like an easy fix. I'm also surprised that this problem (for the PS4) carried over to the PS5. Like many of the comments here, I also want to do long streams and thats not possible unless I commit to one game... which face it, how fun is a game after you've been playing it for 5 straight hours... I'm not trying to play one game for a living!

Yes! I recently had to move and only have wifi and something is wrong with it. I have to cut my streams in half sometimes because of this

Even though you are switching games on console (for me xbox one); I understand keeping information about yourself privet, but why can't it just continue streaming once you've loaded in a new game? I lose a bit of viewers switching games :(

I really want this for ps4 I hate not being able to do 6 or 7 hour streams because I have to end the stream to switch games. It makes it really hard to stream for long periods of time. If your ok with playing the same game for 2 to 10 hours this shouldn't be a problem.

Hey all! This seems to still be an issue. For whatever reason, if you are streaming directly through your console (for me it is Xbox One), whenever you simply switch games the stream resets. I have noticed the little "live" overlay that appears on screen when streaming and gaming does not change or go away. It will save the VODs individually per game and not in one file. I did notice someone say that is was not in the control of twitch, but this was never an issue on Mixer when console streaming. Why does it just reset?

When you quit a game on PS4 while streaming, the stream shuts off, this is annoying, as people want to be able to switch games if they're doing a long stream, having the privacy block screen, or just showing certain items on the PS menu would be a good idea.

This is, sadly, not in the control of twitch. It is something you would need to take up with the console manufacturer. It most likely works that way so you don't accidentally show the world private info while in the consoles main menu which often shows your real name and sometimes email address, etc...
