1. Keep Moments

   Moments is a feature that Twitch released as a Beta to a handful of creators. Whenever something cool happened in your stream, you could give out a "Moment" to those who were there to witness it. Twitch just announced they are discontinuing it as of October. I'm writing this to ask you to reconsider.

   The Moment was a clip that was created when you gave the command, and allowed for some minor editing. Anyone who claimed the moment would also receive a badge, and the more moments you claimed, the more your badge evolved over time. You could even click on someone's badge to see what moments they were there for.

   As a creator, I was part of the Beta for Moments. This was an INCREDIBLE tool for engaging my audience. Most of the time, the Moments were for small little silly things that happened, but it allowed for my audience members who maybe couldn't afford to sub or cheer to showcase their loyalty to the stream by having a badge that said "I'm here for all the moments." The irony of the strength of this feature was that it wasn't really for "The Moment" you were there, but for combination of all the small little moments you got to share.

   Growing on Twitch is about engaging your audience and giving them reasons to come back. Moments allowed viewers who tuned in for the day the chance at "being there" for something cool. It created an opportunity for people to stick around more and watch more of my content.

   Anytime something cool happened my audience would say "MOMENT?," and so much so that I made an emote for the very thing. The emote ranked #1 in both my channel and outside my channel since it's creation for me.

   It's failure as a feature is rooted in

   1. The Beta was too limited. Not enough people who could benefit from it were given the chance to use it.
   2. There was not a lot of push from Twitch to help creators understand why the feature is so good.
   3. The feature needed more feedback to shape it into something truly special.

   Imagine having the badge and also attaching an Emote slot to Certain Tiers. Imagine having more options to really edit the clips so that you could really encompass the Moment. Imagine having MORE MOMENTS to give out so you could be more free with giving them out.

   The reason it was cut was "limited use by the community" and that they would strive to "Create features that bring value to streamers"

   Moments IS that feature. The badge is such a cool function. You don't need to make it compete with Featured Clips, in fact just having them on the viewer's profile under the badge is enough.

   Please reconsider axing this and please actually reach out for feedback to those of us who get access to these Beta Features.

2. Allow Merging Chat in Simulcasting

   As of today's announcement as TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023, Twitch has changed it's simulcast policy.

   It states: ..."do not use third-party services that combine activity from other platforms or services on your Twitch stream during your Simulcast, such as merging chat or other features"...

   In other words, embedding YouTube or TikTok chat into the live stream is not allowed.

   I think this will hurt the industry, as other platforms may follow these rules as well, making it less likely to embed chats in live streams.

   As third-party developer i see that embedding Chat in live streams is a core feature for streamers and highly requested. It also makes Chat more accessible to mobile users who have a limited viewport.

3. auto-translate

   I think a lot of people might agree with this and I think this is a good idea but not sure if its possible..
   But hear me out....

   what if it was possible for all streamers having an option to have an auto language translate?

   Pro:
   - People that doesnt know how to type in english, will be able to type anything on their own language and then when u send it/ maybe before send it, will translate it to english.
   - you as a stream watcher, be able to join other content creators chat that is not in english, you're able to see what the chat is saying. visa versa if people dont know english they will be able to understand the context of chat and be able to type back in english on their own langauge.

   I dont know much about the cons with this. I asume it would be too big of a work to do so? or that it wont auto translate what streamers says into words (that would be awesome if the tecnology could do that but i recon we dont have that yet)

   It would also make it easier and faster to react to any kind of funny, sad etc. of other moments instead of using other translate sites and react later and ruin their experience. It would help many more people to be able to interact with others and bring the community together I recon?
   There wont be a huge language barrier between other nations and might help people learning their prefere language?

   This would also be a good thing for streamers that struggle a bit to gain viewers to be able to get more into their chat and be more active in the community.

5. Add emote reactions to individual chat messages, like Discord

   Often I see someone's chat message and I just want to react with an emoji/emote, but replying and tagging the user with just an emote isn't really the same and can get spammy, especially with multiple reactions from different people. This is DEEPLY ingrained in Discord culture, and seeing your message get several reactions is quite rewarding.

   Attaching the reaction to the chat message would increase engagement and decrease spam. It would also increase the value of unique channel emotes by adding new contexts for their use.

6. Multiple pinned messages

   I'd love to see an ability to pin multiple chat messages as sometimes there are a few relevant things going on. In some cases it requires a bit too much to put in one message which makes it harder to pin the relevant stuff, which either requires a sacrifice of what to pin and what to mention regularly or to flip back and forth between what to have pinned, neither of which is optimal.

   My idea is that with pinning multiple messages you'd be able to choose a priority of it too so the viewer could either flip between the message to see and highest priority displays first or to also add the option for the messages to frequently flip automatically (with an option for viewers to make flipping pinned messages manual for themselves).

7. Viewer moderation flag

   Viewers are known to meta.
   Add a moderation flag that marks a viewer based on reports from stream moderators so mods are aware of potential risk cases from new viewers channel hoping intentionally spreading meta.

8. Font and Emote size options for Twitch Chat

   BTTV/FFZ/7TV all have that option to resize the font of the Stream Chat, as well as an option to make emotes bigger or smaller on the client, all on the client side.

   This would be a very welcome change as a lot of details on emotes are often lost, or become much harder to read with how smaller they become otherwise.

   This is also a good accessibility upgrade for those with poor sight like I have or those playing Twitch on bigger screens, as the main font in twitch chat is much harder to read otherwise.

   I do know that 3rd party apps like FFZ/BTTV/7TV do solve that issue, but a lot of people either do not know how to use them, cannot use them due to incompatibilities, or will not use such apps (for rational or irrational reasons).

   This could help the community as a whole, be it on PC, mobile or others, and get Twitch to be more accessible altogether.

10. Ability For Streamers To Limit Moderator Powers In Streamer's Chat

    Allow streamer to control what powers moderators have over their stream/chat/bans/unban requests/stream settings etc. After the recent change where banned users are forced to unfollow the channel, moderators have too much power over channels and hold enough power to destroy a channel. I do not feel comfortable modding users after this change, but my chat lacks enough moderation due to this issue.

    Hacked mod accounts or vengeful mods have the power to ban all users in a streamer's follower list, thus forcing these followers to unfollow the streamer. Banned users also mean an unfollow. This gives mods extreme power that is not warranted by the streamer. This could ruin streamers with large followings by simply banning the user, the user is forced to unfollow. once a ban/unfollow happens, theres no way for the streamer to fix the issue, mistake or otherwise.

    I'm suggesting streamers have the ability to cap the number of bans per day for each moderator. Prevent mods from banning users when stream is not active. Prevent mods from taking specific actions when the stream is not active. Streamers should be able to pick and choose which mods have control over which specific actions.

    Moderators have the ability to handle unban requests. As a streamer, I would prefer to handle this myself, preferably with the option to make unban request comments and my decision or comments to the user private to my mods. Often times mods unfairly handle the unban requests of users they banned before I can even acknowledge the unban request existed.

    Streamers should have the ability to prevent mods or selectively choose which mods can do certain actions.

    Examples include adding words to their ban/permitted words lists, decide which mods have powers to pin messages. The ability to approve a mod's pinned message to chat before it is pinned, giving only certain mods the ability to ban, only allowing mods to do select actions while the stream is live, pin, add/delete, do shoutouts, etc.

13. Ban Streamers who don't ban users for being creepy with children

    There are a lot of streamers out there who say creepy unhinged things about children, and make jokes about harming them or SA'ing them and the streamers do nothing about it. I think if a user says something out of line like that, and the Streamer does not ban them, then the Streamer should be banned from streaming.

17. Chat Highlighted Messages

    Currently there is a chat highlight setting for raiders, my idea is adding an individual highlight for the person who sent the raid. I've been raided a few times and lost the raid sender's message within all the raid hype messages.

    I would like to be able to hold a comment manually for review in chat if I'm unsure if a term is good or bad. I've deleted slangs that I thought were bad but turned out being good.

19. Change how pinned messages are shown

    Instead of showing "Pinned by", show "Posted by", to show who the user was that sent the message.

    Too often do people in chat mistake the "Pin by" as the person that sent the message and causing confusion in chat.
