We are rolling Squad Stream out to Partners first because of the need for video quality options (also known as transcodes) in order to ensure the best experience for viewers.

Currently, all Twitch Partners receive video quality options on their streams by default, while Affiliates receive them as they’re available, with priority access.

Our plan is to make Squad Stream available to Affiliates and all other streamers as we continue expanding our transcodes capacity.

Before coming to Twitch, I did a little bit of streaming on Mixer. When I was over there, they had a feature that would allow up to 4 streamers (I think) stream on the same page. All the chats would combine into one chat. All the viewers from one streamer would see others and it made it easier to grow as a newer streamer. Currently, I have been playing with another streamer every night and it would be nice to have both of our streams pulled up on the same screen for our viewers to see both perspectives. I know there is multitwitch.tv, but it doesn't combine the chats into one. With mixer, there was an option to invite another streamer to stream with you. Maybe you could implement this? I don't know if there is any downside to doing this. From what I could see, it would only help spread viewership to other streamers.
