While there are times when the words Gay, Lesbian, and Trans can be used harmfully, the vast majority of use is simply to describe someone's gender/sexuality, and not to discriminate against them. Censoring these words is not at all the way to stop them from being used harmfully, and in fact will only lead to the erasure of not only the words, but of the people and their ability to openly share their experiences. On top of that, this erasure is not only bad for said people, but for everyone, including Twitch as a whole. Diversity in thought and experience is one of the biggest contributors to better ideas, better creativity, and in turn a better site generally, meaning more people will *want* to use it.
