I do not trust AI, I do not want it anywhere near my streams, and I do not want it anywhere near the streams I choose to watch.
Generative AI is wasteful, often inaccurate, and erases human interaction. In an ideal world, it wouldn't exist at all.
If a viewer tunes in and wants to know what's happened so far - they can ask! And then another viewer, or I, can give our favourite parts of the stream so far, and we can have a conversation, laugh about it or commiserate as required.
Frankly, Twitch is about sharing experiences. AI is about dividing them. If Twitch uses genAI as a part of presenting streams, then what even is the point of Twitch any more?valerynorth

Using generative AI for anything related to creator industry is just hugely disrespectful to your user base and the people making you money.

Generative AI is plagiarism, pure and simple. I do not want anything I do to be associated with it, I do not want anything I create fed into it, I do not want to use it in any way, shape, or form.
Opt-out by default is very much the compromise position here.
