i moderate for 9 diff channels 3 of them over 1k viewers and i have never felt the need to desire payment, i have always done it to help the streamer, donate my time to help them, i wouldn't dream of asking for their hard-earned income.
though i can agree it would be nice if as a streamer i can opt into tipping or add a percentage based payment to moderators, but i expect this would always come from the streamers 50% not from twitches.

could also allow people to upload there music to be played on the radio, but doing so gives full copyright access to twitch and those playing it obviously, then they can upload a song and hope they people will check them out for other monetized albums

could be useueful as a next step to send analitics of users prefered settings to the streamer so we know if a majority prefer the music off, or game volume lowered ect.
personally when im playing a game myself i only want to hear the streamers voice, no game sound no music. if im just watching them i want game sound and voice no music unless its a focus part of the stream
