    I'll be real with you: it's impressive dumb. To be clear this is obviously intentional, right. It's not disappearing by mistake. There was a design decision made and someone thought this was a good idea.

    Except, if you don't want to see chat, the full screen mode is right there. So... what is this feature for lol. You want to see the chat but only for a few minutes, but don't want to press anything to change that, and are willing to sacrifice screen real estate to blackness and have the video stream hiding in the corner.
