    On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.

    While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.

    I'm curious if Twitch could allow this feature to be just that- a feature for streamers to turn on and off? I mod for a community that uses the chant feature often and we see a positive turnout with them- especially now that we can see a user's first message, we are seeing more of our lurking viewers finding it as a way to join in on conversations more. It's been a great booster in the channel that we even offer a channel points redeem to create a chant. Please don't focus on the negative, but we hope you see the positive this has created for communities.
