Hey all,
Thank you for the patience with us on this. This has been one of the most popular ideas on UserVoice and we definitely heard your feedback.
Today we launched /announcement for mods and streamers. Announcements can be used in chat to highlight a message and are available in 4 different colors along with the channel accent color. Because this is only part of the ask of this idea we are setting this idea to partial release so the community can continue to leave feedback on this.

I use the /me command a lot for my bot messages so it stands out from the rest of chat. Making it italics without colour change defeats the purpose of it 'standing out', which was the point of it, was it not?
I honestly don't understand why the **** you seem to think it's necessary to waste time changing a feature that didn't need to be touched on, when you can't even spend a solid amount of time on stuff that is actually a problem, such as spam accounts, follow/view bots, harassment and other stuff that has been plaguing your platform FOR YEARS! I would have thought that with all the revenue you take from most streamers would move you to make your platform more desirable, instead of creating distaste with every single questionable 'necessary change' that's come from the apparent brains of this organisation.Azunera supported this idea ·

We’ve discussed an idea like this a few times internally and are considering supporting it in a 2021 release. Thank you for the request.

Hey guys! We really appreciate the feedback that has been brought forth in this thread and just wanted to update you a little bit on what is going on.
This change was originally made to guard against raid bot attacks. While smaller raids are currently viewable in activity feed in the dashboard, we are working on a solution that treats raids equally while guarding against abuse tactics.

Really makes you wonder if Twitch actually gives a **** about their streamers, because they seem to really be going out of their way to ********* over lately.
They make decisions without asking their community first. What's your game Twitch?Azunera supported this idea ·
Your reasons for changing the command is invalid. "Preventing trolls from sending fake donation messages". All that's changed is that trolls do it in italics, not colour.
If the safety of your community was such a top priority, why is harassment, sexism, racism, and much more an ongoing issue, with little to no action taken against those that create unease and fear on your platform?
Furthermore, I don't understand the reason behind asking for feedback on your changes if you have no interest in what your 'community' has to say.
