[Feature] Featured Clips
Featured Clips help you show up on new and existing Twitch discovery spaces in ways that best represent you and your community. We recently shared our plans (https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2023/07/08/everything-we-announced-at-twitchcon-paris/) to launch the upcoming mobile Discovery Feed. As we work towards building new onsite discovery tools like the Discovery Feed, we want to give you more control over which Clips are shown to viewers on Twitch with Featured Clips.
We're already working on improvements to Featured Clips, including:
- Allowing you to opt-in to automatically featuring Clips created by you or your editors.
- Giving Featured Clips access to Mods and other trusted members of your community.
- Adding the ability to feature Clips from the Clip creation flow, the Clip editor, and on mobile.
- Adding more Featured Clips analytics.
We'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve this feature.

Please let me turn this off on the app. It’s actually awful and takes up way too much of the screen. Also please fire whoever thought this was a good idea. Thanks.

At minimum have a shelf of different clips and not just the same one sitting there for weeks on end on my following page. Or just let me turn this feature off. It has the potential to be valuable to twitch but how it's currently implemented is garbage.

Add an option to disable this because this just takes way too much screen space for no reason. It's awful. Please remove it by default, actually.

Please add "I am not interested in this recommendation" for Featured Clips that are used in Discovery shelves.

As others have mentioned, I also see the same Featured Clip since the launch of the feature. I'm guessing that's because it's not being used a lot by the Streamers I follow.
I've used the feature a couple times myself, but I don't think it's a "most use" feature in regards to Discovery - unless Analytics will show where Views came from. I'm looking forward to seeing those stats, and I appreciate having access to them early on to see if/how a new feature is beneficial to my channel.
In a category without anyone streaming, having Featured Clips prominently displayed there makes a lot of sense to build anticipation for the next time someone is live.
Especially on mobile, once a Featured Clip has already been viewed, and there isn't any new Featured Clips, I'd prefer the section to be hidden - otherwise it's just irritating. I hope no one unfollows me if they get irritated by seeing my clip(s) featured, and never going away. I'd rather everyone has the option to hide the section if they simply aren't interested in Featured Clips.
Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Clips because the Clips page is rather disorganized and it took me 10-15 minutes during a stream to make a good clip (I was too late, and had to go back to the live VOD to attempt again and again to get the entire moment captured in one Clip).
I really like the ability to Feature Clips. It's a step in the right direction. How they're featured outside of a Streamer's page needs to be adjusted.

As others have mentioned, the Discovery Feed takes up too much space on the Following tab on mobile devices. Using my tablet in landscape mode, it takes up the entire screen. I want to see who's live that I'm following first. I'd prefer the Featured Clips to be moved under the currently live section.
On Desktop, I really like that Featured Clips are more prominently displayed on the Streamer's page. On the Clips tab, rather than hiding all non-Featured Clips could there be an option to have Shelves/Collections just like VODs/Highlights? (Maybe this should be a seperate UserVoice).
Top spot of the page tells me: "You don't want to miss this." Will Stories be combined with Featured Clips as part of the Discovery Feed once Stories are launched, or separate? I am a lot more interested with Stories being at the top of the following page. Those will build anticipation for current or future events - which Clips rarely do. Featured Clips could be "filler" at the end.

Let me turn this feature off on my mobile app. I've add the same meaningless "featured clip" at the top of my following list taking up almost half the app and pushing my live channels down the page for ages now. This is so dumb and annoying. Who approved this?

Remove the recently featured clips at the top of the Home Screen on the mobile app. It takes up too much space. If I wanted to see clips, I’d search for them. When I use twitch I want to see who’s live. Not some clip I don’t care about (I wasn’t looking for it)

Small streamers don't get many viewers that come in a stream and take clips for them, so they use a command or take highlights. Allow stream to us the "clips I created" to be featured and be able to be used as channel trailers.

No one comes to twitch for clips. There is no reason to have featured clips at the top taking up the majority of the screen on the mobile app. I have to scroll to find out who's online. This needs to be removable.

Regarding the new “Recently Featured Clips” section, I’m not sure I can say anything that hasn’t already been said many times, so I’ll just list my biggest personal issues with the feature to hopefully get more eyes on this addition:
1) Spoilers. I purposely avoid clips in general when new games I’m interested in come out to avoid getting spoiled, but now they’re unavoidable. In the week or so this feature has been implemented, I’ve already encountered one (thankfully) minor spoiler.
2) The live channels I follow now start halfway down my screen on the “Following” tab.
3) The same clips have been at the top for multiple days even though I purposely tried watching them hoping they’d disappear.
4) I’m sure it was implemented for a business/monetary reason, so completely removing the section (or adding an option to do so in settings) is probably out of the question, but I believe most of us would be happy with moving it under our live channels at the very least.
Ultimately, this change has made me less likely to open the Twitch app (and see the ads 😉) and start exploring and spending more time in competing live-streaming services.

Add the information for the toggle radio button to www.twitch.tv (http) cookie so the setting (On/Off) persists through visits.

Recently features clips at the top of the following page is a terrible change. It takes the entire page and moves the desired information OFF the viewable page. It leads to spoiling game experiences. It is NOT promoting followers or interest. It is leading to unfollowing. His an anti-intuitive and obstructive change. Please remove it from thei and place it in discover.

Please allow the ability to remove the recently featured clips at the top of the mobile app. When I open the app, it's to view who's currently streaming and this new feature takes up the whole home screen. I do not like it. Please.

Please remove the recently featured video from the top of my following list. It is an eyesore and an annoyance, especially in horizontal screen view on mobile. At least give me the ability to disable it. Yikes.

Awful idea to have this at the top of the page and give no way to opt out of it. It takes up too much of the mobile screen. Even watching the clip doesn’t remove it. I’ve seen most people say they’re unsubscribing to streamers who use it, just to get rid of it. That’s not helping streamers at all, is it.

This is a massively bad idea for the twitch mobile app. I typically don’t use mobile because it sucks anyway but for the times I have to, it’s annoying having to scroll past something I don’t even care about to find the thing I do. If I want to see clips from a specific channel, I’ll go there and use your also massively bad search clips function. How about we focus on fixing that before we add things nobody asked for? Yeah? K.

Please give us a way to turn this off, or to re-order the sections in the Following tab of the app. If I could put this clip section after the section containing the channels I follow that are actively streaming when I open the app, I would find it much less annoying. (Not to mention I would also love the ability to move the "Continue Watching" section to a more readily-accessible position in the Following tab as well for when I'm trying to catch up on specific long vods.)

Please remove it, I don't use the website. I use the app exclusively. It's an eyesore it's always the same clip, it takes up an obnoxious amount of space.

Please remove the **** thing or allow me to turn it off. I'm tired of seeing the same **** clip everytime I open the app.
