There was an error during translation
So my girlfriend and I are running a dual POV setup. Before Guest Star was a thing we used a custom coded RTMP server for said setup so I am able to share my screen to her with barely any quality loss. However this option came with a lot of security issues and a high latency and we were never able to work around that.
Anyway my idea;
It would be awesome if guests could share their screen too which you can then set up in OBS as a browser source for real-time setups for both POVs. Hers would obviously be her own game capture and mine would come from the browser source in guest star.
I know screensharing via browser brings a lot of limitations but perhabs there is a way to make this possible using a custom stream key and URL that you can set up within guest star? This would be a GREAT addition for streamers that play with their viewers and want to showcase their gameplay as well without having to rely on costly third party programs or immense quality loss due to downscaling or latency.
