The Final Fantasy VII game directory is broken.

On Twitch, there exist two game directories called "Final Fantasy VII". There do exist two games called "Final Fantasy VII": the PlayStation game by SquareSoft released in 1997, and an unlicensed bootleg demake for the NES created several years later. Recently, a new game directory was created for the demake, however this has made the original game directory inaccessable and unusable.

Attempting to search for directories called "Final Fantasy VII" displays both directories, however clicking either directory brings you to the page for the new demake directory, as both link to the url https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Final%20Fantasy%20VII. It is possible to access the directory page for the original game at https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/ff7, however.

Attempting to set your streamed game to the original game will put your stream in the demake directory. I believe some bots are able to set your stream to the original game directory, and so there are occasional streams there.

The directory image used for the PlayStation FF7 game directory is cover art for the correct game. The directory image used for the NES FF7 game directory is promotional artwork for the move Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

In my opinion, a directory for the demake isn't necessary and should probably be removed, as this is an unlicensed game that is rarely played. DOOM is a pair of games in a somewhat similar situation, and there is only a single directory that both games called DOOM are streamed under. If the demake directory is to continue to exist, however, it should be given a different URL so it doesn't prohibit access to the original game's directory.

tldr: There exists a new game directory called Final Fantasy VII that is overshadowing the original game directory and has made it unusable.
