An error occurred while saving the comment Grymmwulf commentedAaron - You realize that streamers make NOTHING on those ads, right? My highest ad earnings for a MONTH were $2.83, streaming 99h19m over the course of 25 of 31 days. I literally made $2.83 with an average viewers count of 21 (I'm not a huge streamer). That's literally 2.8 cents per hour, with 21 viewers. So around a tenth of a cent per viewer per hour. Literally, one sub is worth more to me than 100 hours of streaming ad revenue with 20+ viewers.

A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

GhostZero - As a streamer who, while not huge, at least had a fairly decent following and average viewers (20+ my last month streaming regularly), the amount of money made on ads was absolutely miniscule. I would have much rather NOT made the <$3.00 and given my viewers a better experience.
In 9 months since becoming an affiliate, while streaming a total of 262 hours and 7 minutes, with an average viewers of 18, I've made a grand total of $5.65 in ad revenue, which is an EXTREMELY tiny, fractional amount of my total revenue.
Ads do not help streamers AT ALL, that is a myth.
