Broadcasters and Editors of a channel should be allowed to award points to a user so that they can provide an incentive for things. E.g. if a streamer wanted to do a 1v1 competition, they could award points to the winner. If this is already a thing, please let me know, but as of my experience at the moment, it's not something that I have seen happen.

The idea of having points for a gift sub is a great idea but I don't think it's possible to have points set at a fixed price especially for something like a gift sub. Subscriptions can be incredibly valuable depending on the channel, and while they may be at a constant price in terms of USD, it's probably not a good idea to have channel points set at a fixed price for them.

First off, a subscription comes with a month's access to all of that streamer's emotes, some of which they paid a lot of money to get made for them.

Secondly, streamers often involve their community but they want to put more emphasis on subs because they're actually paying members of the community. Making subs easier to get for free, especially to larger streamers wouldn't be fair to the people paying for subs and while there are options to get a free subscription, it makes sense for it to be much more expensive for some streamers than others depending on the emotes and how much involvement subs have over regular viewers among other factors.

Thirdly, forcing a free gift subscriptions program onto a streamer is very unfair to them considering that it could be that streamer's main source of income, and financial factors should absolutely be taken into consideration.

I like this idea, but why are we limiting it to mods? I think we should allow any users to gift points they have to the community, especially if they don't plan on using them themselves. On that note though, because so many streamers have only a few redeemable options that aren't attractive to many people, allowing users to randomly gift points to chat will almost certainly clog up chat and it might not be the best of ideas. There definitely should be a way that someone can transfer their points to another user and make it so that a streamer or one of their editors can give points to a user (not transferring their own) so that a streamer can say something like if you win a 1v1 in Fortnite with me, I'll gift you a thousand channel points. Obviously you can customize the name of your point's currency, but it's definitely a feature that should get added.

I cannot stress enough how important offline chat is to creating a tight-knit community and maintaining a connection to one another even while the stream is offline. I know many streamers use Discord as a social media platform to communicate with one another while stream is offline, but sometimes people are looking for interaction on the channel itself. In addition, posting links and other references might be easier with Twitch chat because I would say the majority of people I talk to are using a web browser as opposed to an application to use Twitch Chat while people are using an application to use Discord.

That being said, I find it disappointing how if a channel is offline when going to that channel's page, offline chat does not automatically appear. Not only is this frustrating because of the frequency of this error, but I think it actually severs communication on some level. A lot of people who might have heard about a certain streamer and Twitch generally from YouTube or elsewhere might come to check out the channel. If they see that there are people actively talking in the channel, they might get involved and could benefit both themselves, that streamer's community, and Twitch because of future participation.

I also really miss the ability to browse videos and other areas of the channel whilst still being able to talk in offline chat. I understand that some people might want to close chat because of the distraction it may pose, but in my experience, very few people hold this opinion (then again, the people I talk to are talking in offline chat LUL). In any case, I would strongly recommend for chat to open immediately upon arriving to a channel's page regardless of whether they are online or offline. Additionally, chat should still be accessible and interactable when viewing other tabs in the channel like videos or the schedule). Even if you are watching a video of a past stream or a clip, or something, it might be an interesting feature to still view current chat while also viewing the chat from the video that you may be watching.
