Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

I'd like to be able to customize, what and in what order appears at the top of my channel page. I'm talking about last broadcast ("check out this stream from x ago"), autohosted channel ("while X is offline, check out"), and recent highlight ("X made a highlight of a recent stream"), which you can cycle through.
In my case, the thing that pops up as the first item is my last broadcast, but I'd actually prefer promoting the latest highlight as the first thing people see when they go to my channel.
Also, I feel like there is a way for hosting (including autohosting) to be featured a bit more noticeably, without hiding or replacing the promoted video or recent broadcast. Side-by-side cards, maybe?

It's interesting to note that the Twitch player is pretty close to 1280x720 on a 1920x1080 screen, and pretty close to 1920x1080 on a 2560x1440 screen. Pretty close, but not quite there.
I've created a userstyle (a few lines of styling code that you can apply locally in your browser) that fixes this with no noticeable impact on the rest of the page, and makes 720p and 1080p streams crispy on monitors 1920 pixels wide and 2560 pixels wide respectively. You can find it here https://github.com/outfrost/usercss#twitch-player-resolution-fix and install it with a browser extension like Stylus.
That being said, I feel like Twitch should do this by default, as it seems like an obvious omission once you look at the "video stats" window in a stream.

Hey guys, you can actually sort of set this up the way you’re describing! Head to the Videos tab and choose “Customize Layout”. From here, you can edit the layout to display your Clips (I have my own as the very top shelf on my homepage .). Similarly, you can create a Collection of Highlights to be your top shelf. I will leave this topic open for the general feedback about and the Home display, though.

I see two good solutions for featuring videos & clips on the channel landing page.
1: Let the streamer pick (by ticking checkboxes, for example) which lists and collections they want to feature videos from. For example, I would tick "Highlights and uploads" and "Clips".
2: As @EagleGarrett said, let the streamer and their editors 'star' videos and clips to feature them on the channel page. This could be accomplished with collections, but would have to be streamlined, e.g. with a special collection and a quicker way to add things to it.
Ideally, I would want to see a good mix of both, but I'll accept either as pretty good.

Maybe we can merge this into one idea post?
One thing to note is that, right now, your channel trailer is the first thing that new visitors (non-followers) see, while everyone else sees a recent broadcast.
